Here Comes the Son

After a long dismal winter, it looks as though old man winter is ready to say good-bye. Although his grip on us has been tenacious, it looks as though his icy fingers are finally letting go. Today, Saturday March 26th, is a beautiful sunny day. The kind of day which makes you want to go for a walk or do something outside. This morning I took my dog Max over to the local conservation area and let him run. Although he is eight years old, he thinks he’s still a puppy, and he acts like one too!

The sun is out, and is a cool, but bright day outside. It’s always nice to see the sun and feel her warming rays on your face isn’t it? But there is another Son that we should be paying careful attention to. For it is only Jesus that can “warm the cockles of your heart”, so to speak. The sun brings warmth to the earth, but the Son brings warmth to our mind, our heart, our Spirit, and out soul.

The Son is here for us to enjoy. All that we need to do is trust in Him and believe that He is our Saviour. Right now He is waiting to come afresh into your life. All you need to do is acknowledge Him as Saviour and Lord. Then watch out, for the Son will come into your life and change you forever. So here comes the Son, rejoice and be glad!

About faithfullyhis

My name is Charles Quail and I am a retired Baptist pastor who lives in Dunnville,a small town southeast of Hamilton, Ontario. I also write a weekly column for our local newspaper, The Sachem. It is a column that I have been writing for about eight years. I am married and have two grown daughters. My best buddy was my dog Max, who is now chasing bunny rabbits in sky. I miss him terribly. My reason for wanting to write a blog is friends have told me that this is the next logical step in my writing career. My hope and prayer is that many will be both challenged and blessed by what I write.
