Election Day

Today people all over our country are exercising their democratic right to vote for the party that will lead our country for the next four years. As it stands right now it looks as though we have another minority government again. But whatever the result is, we need to realise that they have been elected democratically.  Some of us will not like the results because who we voted for will not have been put in office, but nonetheless we need to be respectful of the results of the vote. But  unless you voted you need to realise that you have missed your opportunity to participate in what people in some parts of the world would love to be able to do — vote for who will lead their country. And unless you took the time to vote, you have opted out of your right to have a say in how our country is run. So please take the time to vote. It is your duty to do so.

About faithfullyhis

My name is Charles Quail and I am a retired Baptist pastor who lives in Dunnville,a small town southeast of Hamilton, Ontario. I also write a weekly column for our local newspaper, The Sachem. It is a column that I have been writing for about eight years. I am married and have two grown daughters. My best buddy was my dog Max, who is now chasing bunny rabbits in sky. I miss him terribly. My reason for wanting to write a blog is friends have told me that this is the next logical step in my writing career. My hope and prayer is that many will be both challenged and blessed by what I write.
