Well it looks as though this is it. That is if you believe Harold Camping, the pastor in California who says that he has figured out the exact date of the return of Jesus. The trouble is he’s been wrong before and he’ll be wrong again. Of course there is the possibility that Jesus will return on May 21st but isn’t likely to happen but it because of any predictions on Camping’s part . The Scriptures tell us that only the Father knows the time of the Lord’s return. Not even the Son knows the time, so how is it possible that this pastor in California knows?
I don’t think that he has a clue.
So why would he spend so much money on billboards around the world and so much other advertising? That is something that’ll have to be asked him, maybe on May 22nd.
However, there is one thing of which I am convinced. Many believers are obsessed with the return of Jesus. It is one thing to anticipate His return but it is quite another allowing it to consume your life. The problem is so many people spend their time peeking down the hall to see if the Lord is coming and they are not out working in the field.
Certainly the Lord is going to return, but it will be in God’s time and not ours.
